Experience
2019-Current Ceramics Instructor Ceramics instructor at Serenity Studios, Houston, TX. Teaching both wheel throwing and hand building, students are taught the basics of clay manipulation and are able to create their own pieces.
2019-Current Ceramics Instructor Ceramics instructor at Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston, Houston, TX. I lead adult wheel throwing classes and assist with children’s hand building classes
2017-Current Teaching Assistant ARTS 3320, ARTS 4320 Ceramics Ceramics teaching assistant for artist/professor Clay Leonard at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Houston, TX. Responsibilities include: mixing stoneware, earthenware, and porcelain for the classes, load and unload bisque and glaze kiln, make glaze, stains, and slips, work with restocking and organizing inventory, help teach students fundamentals of throwing while being available during class time to assist with any further questions they might have, and participate in ceramic related demos to help further students understanding of the medium.
2017 Field School Attended an international research trip “Prastio Mesorotsos” in Cyprus. I did field work that included digging for artifacts, washing pottery and chipstone, recorded data and attended many field trips to sites all over Cyprus.
Lecturer Assistant Assistant for Ehren Tool during his artist lecture at University of Houston-Clear Lake. I helped apply decals to his cups that were then shown at the MFAH.
2016 Study Abroad/Research Assistant Studied abroad in Greece where we visited various museums and archaeological sites. Once the class was finished, Professor Costello and I traveled to Cyprus where I was her research assistant for a week. While there we studied various pottery sherds and analyzed them so that we were able to put them in chronological order based on different eras.

Volunteering
2020 Completed the 100 Bowl Challenge for The Houston Empty Bowls event where I threw 100 bowls in one day./td>
2017-2020 Volunteered at the “Bowl-a-thon” at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Houston, TX. We made over one hundred bowls that were then donated to the “12th Annual Empty Bowls” event where they sold them at HCCC and sent the proceeds to the Houston Food Bank.
